“A fake reputation is all a man has” Tangled Movie Review

The first time I laid eyes on Disney's Tangled, I didn't like it one bit. It had this strained sense of comedy and putting any Pink song over something, especially a Disney film, makes me think that they're trying to be more mature than they should be. I growned and placed a finger blind over my face and probably annoyed the person(s) sitting beside me. Let's just say it was a When Harry Met Sally type of ordeal, both experiences ending in the same conclusion where I get to make out with Meg Ryan and she thinks I'm a pretentious annoying dope.

"Made It!" TRON LEGACY REVIEW

Only this year did I get around to viewing the underrated classic, Tron and it was during a small break between classes did I get enveloped in the simple story of one man in a computerised world trying to get out. We've seen in recent years many different takes on the story of a man in a digitised or conceptualised world and this being either the bane or desire of his existence. From films like The Matrix and Inception come close to the idea of imagination in a fictional universe to a new degree, but Tron Legacy covers the ground in a simpler and a lot more dazzling way.
Don't get me wrong both of the previously mentioned films are still amazing and beautiful to watch, but something a lot of critics have with the story is that the emotional or relationships in the films either seem tacked on or ultimately unnecessary to the overall theme and story, that which we create can destroy us.
WHY GOD WHY?!

Morning Roll Call 4/11

To those of you international folks and late-night workers I apologise for no Dawn Patrol, but it was for two reasons. I didn't get home last night till a little before midnight and there just wasn't too much to post, however, this morning, there is plenty, so let's get to it :D

Morning Roll Call 3/11

I get eye strain, like fairly other normal people and this morning I decided instead of bursting from my grey bed covers that I'd read for a while and let the morning soak me into itself, rather than my eyes soaking into bursts of light from my laptop, and I gotta say, it felt good and writer-ly (coz that's a word)
Now to all my friends who are hastily finishing their projects for the year, you have come this far and this is exactly what you need right now:
